Job Opportunities for Local Mental Health Social Enterprise
The Mind Sanctuary is a social enterprise committed to empowering people to become masters of their own emotional wellbeing and mental health, by providing inspirational and informative articles and connecting people to local therapists, therapeutic activities, counselors, charities and mental health services.
Tina Gibbons is founder of The Mind Sanctuary and to date has carried out the majority of operations herself. Due to the growth and popularity of the website, combined with the fact that Tina is now pregnant, several opportunities have arisen to help drive this exciting and successful project forward.
Most of the opportunities are currently voluntary part time positions, although it is anticipated that they will lead to paid positions in the long term. They would suit individuals looking to build a portfolio of online publishing experience in order to secure future employment, or individuals who have some time available to support a local social enterprise in the well-being sector.

There is an opportunity for a good communicator, who is a competent user of the internet, to assist with the coordination of content for a mental health website and develop working knowledge/experience of online publishing and social media usage within the health sector.
There are currently approximately 20 therapists contributing to the content of the site. Your role will be to ensure that content is received, edited and published within agreed timescales.
A copywriter will be appointed to assist with the editing and content, your role will be predominantly coordinating and publishing to the internet and social media networks, unless you also hold the appropriate writing/editing skills and are interested in carrying out this aspect also.
A schedule of planned content will be provided along with deadlines and contact details of the person providing the content. You will be responsible for ensuring that content is delivered in accordance with the schedule.

Copywriter & Social Media Manager
Part Time (Between 10-20 hours per month)
There is an opportunity for a good copywriter to manage and edit the content for a mental health website.
There are currently approximately 20 therapists contributing to the content of the site. Your role will be to ensure that content is of the best quality possible, inline with the tone of the website and written with search engine optimization in mind.
You will have the support of a content coordinator, who will ensure that all content is received from the appropriate contributors, unless you wish to take on this aspect of the role yourself.
When a new contributor comes on board, you will be responsible for establishing a relationship with the client and writing an editorial profile that is optimized for search engines.
You will also be responsible for creating social media status updates that inspire and inform followers, helping to build a loyal following.
This is currently a voluntary position, though there is a possibility that it will become a paid position in the future. It may be suitable for freelancers who are looking to build a portfolio, in which case a pro bono agreement can be arranged.

Holding telephone consultations to establish content for editorial profile, directory listings and future content to be published through site.

Sales & Marketing Manager
There is an opportunity to support the growth of a local Mental Health website by generating subscriptions, sponsorships and other income streams, crucial to the sustainability of a young and thriving social enterprise.
This is an excellent opportunity to become involved with a project in it’s infancy and have a positive impact on the wellbeing of individuals across Suffolk.
Any queries or enquiries with regards to new sales will be directed to you. It will be your responsibility to generate leads and convert existing leads into sales.
The right person will be rewarded on a commission basis initially, with the possibility of moving to salaried pay in the future. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with the right skills, passion and commitment to carve out their own position in a growing social enterprise.
